is ESPN a loser these days?????
It would appear so, maybe. They are losing monies hand over fist from paying to much for sports games, thus they have had major lay offs or firings. They only really cover what they have major investments in ie nfl, and college football. Here we are in March Madness...college basketball....which CBS owns The Dance etc. so when i turn to ESPN they are talking NBA basketball, the NFL Draft, and the NFL free agents etc....little to no coverage Tuesday and Wednesday on the teams in the Dance. The dropped Mike and MIke so i seldom watch ESPN in the morning because the new show sucks . Now i seldom watch First Take because that pair broke up and all the talk is NFL. ESPN appears to cater to pro sports.

Now what I don't know is whether FS 1 has the coverage in all the cable providers across the country like ESPN does.
But the times are a changin' as more and more folks are cutting the cord.
The best news this year was that not one single of X''s games were on ESPN.
That was very nice.

Makes sense because I think they are owned by Disney.

Flipped through espn2 Wednesday and Thursday morning for just a few minutes. The talk/subjects GOLF both days and how Tiger Woods is doing for TV ratings...LOL. A good TV rating for the best programs is probably 9.0 to double digits.....they said golf gets a 2 to 3 point rating without Woods playing and maybe a 5.0 if Woods plays. lol... Also they talked to Kentucky's Calipari...and he complained KY is not a 5 seed but better and complained the 12 Davidson is better than a 12 seed..basically he sounded like he was complaining. Chris Mack was on at 9:05am....

The financial model of sports television is gone. There will be a reckoning sooner rather than later.
