Look at Banners On The Parkway, the article "How to Give Up 65 Points in a Half. Very funny!

giving up that many points was actually disconcerting. X biggest weakness is their defensive efficiency. When they are hitting shots, they are the best offensive team by a good margin. My fear is if they aren't hitting, will their D hold up against good teams. so far so good

i do think, for whatever reason, and maybe i'm biased, but i think teams make some tough contested 3's vs us. there are times they are getting open looks but there are times where we are RIGHT in there face, even when they are 5-7 feet behind the line, and they still knock it down. that happened MULTIPLE times in the 2nd half vs. SHU. it's happened plenty of other games as well.

just my take. not sure why teams seem to "step up" their game vs us, but it does lead more to this thought - X IS everyone's super bowl right now, so the fact that the last 8 games we are getting everyone's BEST SHOT and coming out on top speaks volumes.

i get that - but you know that teams are more "amped up" for X and they want that chance for a "signature win" on their resume. not saying they don't want to win ALL their games. i'm sure they do. but we know, for the most part, because of that 4 next to our name, we are going to get the other team's best shot.

I thought our defensive effort in the first half was intense and excellent. Makes me believe they have it in them to extend that to 40 minutes.
