Xavier a 1 seed in the West

as of Feb.5,2018 ESPN Brackets have Xavier as a One Seed in the West Bracket....in other words they are the 4th number one thus shipped out West. We need to stop here and start the Tournament lol. First round and second in Nashville.

Nashville would be quite nice.
Interesting to note that the 2nd round match up could be against Arizona St.

Big East has 6 teams pretty solidly in. Marquette on the bubble.

Nice to enjoy for now but next 4 games will determine a lot of where X gets seeded.
Current RPI rankings for BU, CU, SH and Nova - 27, 23, 17 and 1
UC, on the other hand, has opponents with RPI ranking of 69, 68, 42 and 29 in their next 4 games.
Oh...that American Conference is so brutal.

Actually next 5 games. On the road at GT will be tough also. I don't really expect the number 1 seeding to last past this week, though I'd be overjoyed if we won at both Butler and Creighton.

Butler fans are "legends in their own mind". If you don't think so, just ask one of them.
I guess winning 4 in a row including the 3 wins against bottom feeders of the Big East - DePaul and SJU constitutes being "hot".
I think Ken Pom has Butler winning by 2.
I believe it will be a tough game to win but it is winnable.

just what I was thinking a #10 with a #1 if that was the case they would have make Duke a #1 seed...and somehow they will sneak them into that spot.

Some of you nitpickers on this site are laughable. In the sport of basketball, when someone states a certain team is "hot" it is understood that term means over the most recent spate of games. Now then Shadow, (whom I generally respect on this board), had I said Butler is having a tremendous season - then it would have been apropos to list the entire month of Jan. Or roughly half of their entire league schedule. By "hot" I am referring to their last two weeks in which Butler has really been scoring the ball well and playing better D. Oh, and Mumuskie, might you check out how X fared against those very same so-called Big East bottom feeders. Hey, I am as big a fan as both of you, but we are hitting the Bulldogs at a time where they are clicking. Hopefully X is ready to put forth one of their more cohesive efforts tomorrow evening. For if not those in Vegas laying that paltry 3 points will be sitting pretty...
