Perception is everything.
I was at the game last night and observed the fact that during the handshake line the Marquette head coach did not congratulate TB on point 2000. He knew it happened because when play was stopped to take the ball out, he asked one referee what was going on. During the handshake with Bluiett there was no pause or extra words spoken. I know it was a loss for his team and he wants to get out of there, and maybe I'm nitpicking, but I'm thinking most coaches would say a few words about such an accomplishment directly to the player when given the chance.
Am I crazy? I'm tempted to say it's a Duke thing.

probably reading too much into this one. his team came to Cintas with a chance for a signature win and did not play well at all. they were never really in the game. he did look a little peeved about why they stopped the game when Tre scored 2000 but i would think if he put himself in the other teams/coaches shoes and thinks about it, i'm sure Marquette would do the same thing. i don't know if Xavier or Mack or whoever told the refs before the game that this may happen and they would want to stop for a second but i would've let them and Marquette know that there was a possibility of this happening.

not a big deal(Woj not saying anything), IMHO.

Props to TB. He did not force things last evening when early on it was frustrating for him. The team was rolling and he seemed very happy about that - which is the correct attitude but as we know many other elite players often pout. Then Tre dominates in that key 2nd half stretch to squash any MU hope. Good for him and Congrats on 2,000...!!!
As for Wojo, probably reading too much into it. My gut says he is stressed overall seeing his once meteoric rise on the national up & coming coaching carousel fade a bit. Trust me, any level, a coach's brain can resemble scrambled eggs immediately following a loss. I'm sure that deep down he respects Tre and what he has accomplished.

i'm going to put this record up there with Dimaggio's 56 game hitting streak. it will NEVER be broken. EVER. anyone good enough to put up that many points won't stay long enough to break that record. they just won't.

It makes you realize how good Byron was.Tre would have to play a 5th year to pass him.I would agree-we will never see anyone touch that record.And I don't recall him shooting a lot of three pointers which makes it even more impressive.Proud member of the Class of '88 so I got to see it all up close.He was the player that had the greatest impact on the program
