This guy has great upside potential. Good leaper, good spinning drives and quick hands. He seems to be more comfortable every time out.

I agree with your assessment 100%. I think he has great potential, but he dribbles in traffic way too often, forces shots, and dribbles very high for a playmaker. He is not a point guard now, but I think he will develop into a good one. He had great athleticism, and the potential to be a lockdown defender. He is hitting more treys than he was earlier (though the bar was very low), but it is a very awkward slow developing shot.

He needs to score his points driving into the lane and in transition and needs to stop telegraphing his passes. Some guys take longer to develop, but I think he'll be solid next year.

Dee Davis had an unconventional shot, very high arch. He did ok. BJ Raymond had a pretty flat looking shot as does Kaiser Gates at times, but both are accurate. If you're used to something and do it consistently, you can be effective with it. Scruggs will be ok. He won't be getting off quick shots like Tre or Kaiser, but he'll hit open looks.

He was better than Q yesterday but overall Q is the much better point guard right now.

With Scruggs you can see why he was so highly ranked. He's huge for a point guard, athletic, and is a guard who can rebound and has even had a few big blocked shots his year. He's a guy that can get to the bucket very well which he's starting to show, but because he does dribble high and is not used to playing against better players he has tended to lose the ball a lot.

With Q and Scruggs, everyone complains about their shooting (and admittedly it has been bad). But you can see since about midway through the seasons teams are bringing the defenders way off of those two and daring them to drive or pass. This cuts the passing lanes in a big way and causes some of our turnovers. These guys have to at least shoot it a little so that there's some respect given and the opposition doesn't just park 5 defenders in the lane.

He's a freshman and he plays like one sometimes. Give the guy a chance .He's shown some great moves driving to the basket. Jason Love and BJ Raymond are 2 guys who come to mind who did little as freshman and carried a huge load by their junior and senior years.

He seems to be improving with every game. To me his biggest flaw has been turnovers, usually caused by not understanding the speed and quickness of college defenders. They jump the passing lanes much more quickly than he realizes and steal the passes he has been telegraphing. The past two games he seems to be improving in this, but he needs to learn effective pass faking. Once that happens, he will get defenders out of position and open up the back door.

I guess he is still a freshman. But he has played 20 games and should be making less to’s by now. Between he and Q shooting about 20% from 3. Q has a much better assist to t’o ratio. Don’t get me wrong. I love being 18-3. Tre and J.P. are the backbone. KK and Kaiser are extremely helpful. Sean has some good games and Tyrique seems to be going downhill. Obviously Naji is our best freshman and has the most potential.
