Q's Stats thru 14 games

Q has some remarkable diverse stats so far.
From the FT line, he is shooting 89% - 33 of 37. Outstanding.
Tu Holloway was money at the line but his career avg was 85%.
Q has also improved his 2 pt FG% over last year - going from 38% to 50%.
He is becoming very effective at scoring off the dribble drive.
The negative - shooting 7% from 3 - 1 for 15.
Somehow you have to think he is better shooter than that. I know the 3 point line is several feet further out than the FT line but to make 90% from the line but less than 10% from 3 is crazy disparity.
Assist to turnover ration - my favorite stat and the most important stat there is.
Q's Asst/TO ratio is 2.55
Compared past X PG's, only Drew Lavender had a better ratio - 2.76. And that was a junior and senior.
Next best - Dee Davis at 1.98.
Would love to see Q make some more 3's but right now his game is PDG, IMO.

Thanks for posting these stats!

I was assuming Q must be making 3s in practice because he keeps taking them with plenty of time on the shot clock, which Byron confirmed on the post game show. Hopefully they start falling for him and Scruggs.

Supposedly he and Scruggs shot pretty well from 3 in practice. Scruggs seems to have better form

Really good analysis. It appeared that he was playing very efficiently, but the eye test can be misleading; not in Q-s case. I don't care if he can't hit 3's this year, though he'll need to next. He is most effective when he breaks down the defense by getting into lane, and either finishing at the rim, or hitting a shooter or cutter.

That A/To ratio is ridiculous considering the competition played. We need to find him a dead eye 2 as his backcourt mate next year.

He made a statement in his post-game radio interview that everyone but him loved it but used numbers something like 2300 to 1.

Don't know if I've seen a player with a bigger disparity between FT % and 3 pt %. I'd be happy if he shot 20% beyond the arc

X should hire Redford to train Q and Scruggs on how to shoot. Q has all the other tools to be a very good pg, and Scruggs has tremendous potential as well.
