from SID Tom Eiser: Xavier is 12-1, equaling the best mark in school history after 13 games, sharing that honor with the 1989-90, 1993-94 and 2015-16 teams. The 2015-16 team posted the most wins (16) before suffering a second loss.

And the Big East is #2 in the RPI with the second best record against non-conference foes (behind the Big 12). 6 Big East teams projected to finish in the RPI top 50, and 3-4 in the top 25. And I believe the only OOC game left during the regular season is St. John's home game against Duke.
At this point, as usual, all we need is to finish .500 in the Big East and we are comfortably in the tournament, but there is a very high ceiling this year given the depth we have and the level of competition in the Big East.
Worst case scenario, we have a very hungry, experienced, talented, and battle-tested team come March.

Can't confirm this, but buddy said we were #2 in nation in Field Goal Pct after UNI game.

Just as impressive... X is 4th in the country in free throw shooting % at 79%. After last years free throw shooting woes, quite a turnaround!

X has done wonders with our big men and their free throw shooting. It gives you a lot of flexibility when you don't have to pull some of your starters off the floor at the end of the games because of their free throw shooting.

X is now 1st for FT made, tied for 1st in FT%, tied for 5th in FG%, and tied for 16th in PPG.
A team that shoots as well as us won't rank highly in terms of total rebounds per game, but we are 13th in defensive rebounds per game and 22nd in rebounding margin.
Others:
28th A/TO
26th APG
If we can maintain the team stats, we are looking at a very fun conference season and post season.
Jones is 7th in the nation in FG% (technically O'Mara edges him out, but has not taken enough shots to make the list).
Goodin is tied at 26th for APG. He is turning into a solid D1 guard thanks to the combination of his quickness, sizte and strength.
