He hasn't played well, but X has played very good competition so far. That, and the fact that he is playing with very high-level players, only accentuates his inexperience. I think it is obvious that he does not shoot the ball well, but I see a lot of upside in every other area. Though he is out of control sometimes, he pushes it as fast as Semaj did from end to end.

I don't see him ever being the focal point of the offense, but neither is Goodin, and he is a very good point guard and complementary scorer. Churchill showed nothing, unfortunately. I think we'll see a jump in Scrugg's play as the year goes on.

you sir insult Debbie Downer. Give the guy a chance. Sure he frustrates but Q did the same last year and turned it around and was a vital part of the team. AH is right X has been playing some good opponents and he may never be a shooter like Tre or JP but when he learns how to finish in the tall trees and stops the "sensational" passes he will be a good PG. I think he is trying to hard and the lack of playing time and his punishment has given him little on court time.

A “very good point guard “. What part of his game has been very good? Poor shooting in all areas. More to’s than assists. Maybe he will improve but hasn’t had a significant game to date and has had a disciplinary suspension. I have heard what this was about but just a rumor so not fodder for this board. Last year Golden had some problems but his assist to t/o ratio was just less than 2:1which was not great. Much better this year.

Little bit of an over reaction harryfe.I did expect a little more out of him than we've seen so far but let's give him time.I think the expectations may have been a little too high.I heard someone actually say when he signed he could be a one and done.The list of players who started slow and ended strong is pretty long .CM made a comparison to Q at this time last year.He also was struggling a little bit as Sumner's backup.

Good Lord............!!!! X is 11-1. 99% of all 350+ D-1 programs would have been thrilled to have landed Paul. I sure hope the players do not read the craziness on these sites. If they do, I hope they are able to laugh at the foolishness. PG is easily the hardest position to adjust to at this next level up. All I want to see is a) effort (check) b) progress (check) c) good teammate (check) d) adjusting to college life and classwork (check)

I see big potential in Paul.Hasn't caught up to the speed yet of the competition and he is making mistakes in what he thinks he can do. He will adjust and he will be great .Naji had more exposure to better competition coming in.

Scruggs was also hurt a good part of last season. If he can begin to value the ball and slow down he will be fine. He can work on his shot over the off season. Hardin looks like a deer in headlights at times.

Yeah harden looks like a puppy out there. I agree Scruggs just needs to get up to speed and think maybe get his sea legs back a bit after being hurt last year. I also think it's tougher as a point guard compared to Marshall who just has to come in and grab rebounds and play the top of the 1-3-1.

Scruggs has to play pg and is a natural scorer. I think it's tough for those types sometimes to figure out when to take their shots/go to the bucket vs pass. And it ends in some turnovers. He'll come around.
