Indeed.

A healthy portion of these Tournament games are "played for TV" and not designed to be fan friendly for attendees.

X just wore them out. Last few plays GW had no legs to even guard drives. Well done guys, now bring home the bacon.

Couple observations here. First, give G-Dub credit as they fought hard. Credit to their young coach. Plus, at one point midway through 2nd half they were 8 of 13 from deep. Second, X played like a group somewhat bored and with the mindset of "well, sooner or later we should wind up with a lot more points". Which is typical and expected a couple times each year. Not that any coach would ever accept this- yet inevitable. Look at what the Buckeyes did at Iowa a few weeks ago. Just no explanation. So my take on last eve's game is pretty upbeat. X came out flat and methodical and seemed to be forcing the offense at times trying to convert that elusive 7 pt play. GW played like this was their Superbowl. X still wins by almost 20. As for positives, Scruggs and Q are becoming a potent slashing combo which will loosen up the perimeter D. The Kaiser is much more consistent and active albeit we are only 5 games in. Kanter still a step slow on 'help-D' but looking better in our offensive flow and is active on the boards. All in all seemed like a game yesterday where our young men could not wait for the finals tonight - which is always where you are vulnerable to a trap game. I expect our effort and execution to be much more crisp versus an athletic ASU group. Tonight begins a brutal 3 game stretch which should alleviate any inclination for our guys to be bored........ Let's kick some ass
