One and Done - Good for X?

Johnny Cal and Coach K both in favor of changing the One and Done rule for kids coming out of High School. They have selfish reasons for this because it has hurt their programs and has allowed a level of parity between them and smaller programs (like X), whose players generally stay in school longer. One of the catalysts for our success has been that our 3rd year starters can be as good as their #5 ranked freshman. If they remove this, we will have to compete with a 2nd and 3rd year top 5 player vs our #64 player. Not great for X but agree the rule is dumb.

There will be a multitude of opinions on this subject.As far as Xavier is concerned marginally it will help Xavier because we are not getting one and dones anyway. That means we will not face anyone that will have a pro ready player who is a freshman. Playing the devils advocate we can say we will get more competition for the next level of players that will now bring in Kentucky ,Duke and Kansas to recruit them.
