One more reason to hate ESPN. This makes no sense.

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basket ... rly-top-25

To sum up... :
WITHOUT Bluiett, WITHOUT SUMNER and WITHOUT Kanter they ranked us at 16 on 4/3/2017
WITH Both of these guys, and WITHOUT SUMNER, today, they rank us at 17

They do suggest that could be too low however...lol

They should have ranked us much lower on 4/3 to have any credibility for the 17 ranking they give us now.

The modern athlete is not motivated by anything else but respect. (or so I hear.)
Gentlemen.... we have been disrespected!

ESPN will always stick it to Xavier and the Big East because they the BE chose FOX Sports over ESPN.

You could make a case that Xavier belongs even higher on this list, considering the talent the Musketeers will add and retain.

17 my butt. We have offense, defense, experience, 4 new 4 stars. If we get anytbing from the three Ks, I say we are a 5 or 6.

We certainly appear to have the offense, especially with O'mara and Jones progressing at the end of last season. All depends on our defense though. Quick athletic teams have been trouble. We lost our best defender so it will be interesting to see who fills Bernard's role. Can the frosh adjust to the college game quickly? Tre, JP and SOM are not the quickest defenders. Q did well as a frosh. Hope the new guys can defend also.

agreed makes no sense. coming off an elite 8 bringing back 6 of our top 8 scorers, bringing in a consensus top 15 recruiting class, I feel they should be around 10 or so. espn has slowly come around a little on the BE, but the BE will always be treated 2nd class to ESPN.

ESPN has done the same thing to ND ever since they signed the NBC FB contract. They love axes to grind.

Someone from The Big East should go and make a deal with ESPN. Counter Productive for Xavier and the rest of Big East to be on their crud list. I guess same goes for ND.

So UC vaults ahead of us and the writer of the article pronounces us as "EGGS-avier". (How do I know - he writes "an Xavier". Grammatically that only works if you pronounce it "EGGS-avier".)

Well I guess we will, just have to show them on the court. And Sean had better watch out if we meet again in the tournament for the rubber match.

Espn seems to be a failing network ... lay offs, cuts in staff and revenues, pays too much for sports, charges too much for its station of ESPN....they may soon become a 3rd rate sports system...not to worry what they think.
