Congratulations to JP on reaching 1000 points in his basketball career at X.
Hats off to JP he played one heck of a game last night against Creighton.
Glad that JP wears a Xavier uniform and is not on another team in the big east.
JP is the type of player that I bet most teams hate to play against twice a year.
This kid plays hard and works hard in each game.
Yes it does appear he sometimes will take a bad shot in a game or a shot that looks out of the flow of the offense but what player doesn't do that from time to time.
Congratulations to JP.
Congrats to Macura on reaching 1000 points

Agree 100%. JP never takes off a possession. He may make some ill advised passes or shots but he is one of the gutsiest players that has ever worn the X uniform.
BTW, did Tre pass 1,000 points last night. It was mentioned on TV that he was close.

Tre has 1500 points total. Hopefully he comes back and can reach 2000 next year.

Re: Congrats to Macura on reaching 1000 points
Poor shot selection is a trademark of Xavier guards under Mack. JP is just going with the flow in that regard. Bluiett is as guilty of it as Macura and probably more. There were 2 shots last night that seemed unnecessary by JP as they were especially deep but he was feeling it so hard to say they were actually bad shots. Same with Bluiett, he took 2, maybe 3 that were forced but he was shooting well so he made at least 1 of those.
JP is a great player. I look forward to him becoming more efficient and more demanding next year on his way to an NBA career. He has mental lapses and his teammates quickly lose confidence in him at times but he has the basketball IQ and skill to play at the next level. If he keeps his head in the game and improves his shot selection he will be on an NBA roster. Maybe the officials will even start calling fouls when he gets mugged on his way to the rim, unfortunately out of his control but would bump his scoring average at least 3 a game and improve his shooting percentage.
Congrats JP.
