Providence Game Thread February 15, 2017

No Tre tonight.
X has played a decent 1H.
Gaston has been a beast inside.
X playing a slower pace and employing a lot of zone - 1-3-1 and 2-3.

A few to many turnovers and we need to hit some threes. I like that we're working it inside. Still having problems finishing around the basket.

Ugh. 29-20 with 1:30 to go and they go on a 9-2 run. Of course.

We are killing it inside but this shows why 3s are so important in today's game. They were ice cold in the first half of the first half but have hit a few and bam 2 point game. We're 0-4 from three and have shown no ability to do anything on the perimeter without tre.

X went off as 5 point dog. They must have known Tre wasn't going to play.

Let a 9 point lead go to 2 at the end of half.
JP has too many TO's - 4
SOM played some solid minutes.
If you play at a slower pace then you can not can not turn it over 8 times in a half.

Missing FT's and inside shots has been a common theme for this team
Unfortunately our best 3 point shooter is sitting on the bench tonight.
Kaiser was the invisible man in the 1H.
He picked 2 fouls in the first 3 minutes of the game.
I really dislike that unwritten rule that coaches seem to have these days about 2 fouls in the 1H means sitting for the rest of the half.
Needs to make a contribution in the 2H.

We can't win playing mainly zones and not making shots from the perimeter. JP has stop turning ball over

PC has the 2nd 3 pt shooting % in BE conference play.
If they get hot in the 2H it's going to be a long 2H for X.
Need keep Lindsey in check from 3 in 2H
