They have only lost three games all season by 17 or more points. The average margin of victory for Depaul in Big East games is -12. But their average margin on the road in the Big east is -17. I guess that is where the 17 point spread comes from. Xavier's average margin at home in Big East play is +9.8. I guess we would be a 4.5 favorite @ Depaul since their average margin of victory at home is -4.6 in Big East games.

Since I winter if Fla in an RV I thought I'd lose some interest after 20 yrs in Cincy with season tickets. Entering the Big East enabled me to see virtually every game on FS1 or other networks. When I don't have cable I can watch on laptop thru xfinity.com. DePaul is the kind of game I'd normally skip if something else on agenda, but this current team with 2 freshmen starting & 2 other Transfers in their 1st & only season plus TRE/JP/SOM/GATES all
improving (??? SOM improving) it makes me want to take the extra effort to watch again against DePaul. The extra HEART this team has by winning
back to back 2 pt games may makeup for the loss of SUMNER. It's fun to watch unfold. ED seems to be good NBA potential, but TRE & JP are right there with him on the collegiate level. Q is coming on strong & JONES could be monstrous if he can fend off this tendinitis. De Paul should cover the 17 point spread & will fight with their own HEART for an upset.

The results of the Cintas games vs. DePaul while in the BE:

2/19/14 83-64 +19
1/24/15 89-76 +13
1/12/16 84-64 +20

Average margin = +17.33

Might as well make a prediction or two:
X 79
DPU 68

Gaston/Jones/O'Mara will dominate the Boards and X +12 in rebounding.

X 79 DePaul 68. That was my thinking before I saw another post with same score. No new injuries

I wouldn't bet Xavier to beat anybody by 17 points with our lack of bench depth. Even if we got up by 25 points our bench would give a big chunk of it back.

You'll probably be at that game so can you sneak up behind them and tie their shoelaces? :)
BTW I had a senior moment and forgot to tune in the BR-Leo game much to my disdain.
