Yes you did, Michael. On my way to UPS to send the tickets. Enjoy the game, I'll be in the hospital recovering from Friday surgery

Hope you feel better soon. Know that those seats will be cheering for XU. Hope that you are well enough to make the BE Tournament. I just returned from a road trip with my 72' roommates to see X on the road at Indy and home at Cintas with Creighton. We will have a big group attending the BE Tournament.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery from NJ!

Eastcoast...just did the same trip...with my barber. Flew to Indy...experienced Hinkle...drove to Cincy...hung out...visited some sites, relatives...stayed at Crown Plaza in Blue Ash (exit 15 off I-71)...they have a "Xavier rate" there. I'm class of '71. Live in upstate NY. Only downer was witnessing two "L's"...and a delayed flight back home in Detroit. May go to BE tourny...went last year. P. Titus

The Indy trip was special. There were 4 of us and wives. Hinkle was an historic venue (although dry concessions). St Elmo's dinner and the back to Cincy on Sunday. I might have passed you on I74! This was only my second trip back to XU and Cintas in 40+ years. Saw a win over Seton hall last year and the loss to Creighton this year.

It's tough going to XU road games because it is so hard to win in BE. I take in the SHU game at Pru Center every year. I have been a SHU season ticketholder for 30+ years along with 2 other close friends who are SHU grads. Going 0-3 at Pru has not been fun. The side bets with my buddies has cost me a few cocktails and nothing worse than the loss in the BE semi's to them last year. Have also caught the St John's game every year and trips to Nova, Providence and BE Tournament every year.

We saw some pretty bad XU basketball when we were on campus in the 70"s. If from upstate NY you must remember Luther and Perry Ashley.

Trying to hit all of the away venues, as I did when we were in A-10. Have Nova, Creighton, Marquette and DePaul left in BE. Over past thirty years, have been to several X games. Boy, SHU facility is in rough area! Nice arena...but, it is best building in wide swath of buildings...lotta blight there. Miss our former competition versus Dayton and St.Bona. The latter is only an hour and forty-five minutes from my location, so I've been there numerous times...and Dayton...well, is Dayton. Been there several times for regular season and the old A10 tourny. Its fun, and most of the time the opposing fans are OK...but, boy can those Dayton folks be rough! Several of their grads live in our area too...makes for lively exchanges.

Eastcoast: do you mean Luther Rackley? Knew him...was from Buffalo...gave him ride home once while at X...funny, poor guy sat in back of a VW bug, all the way to Buffalo! Being 6'11', seems like his knees were touching the ceiling of the car.

That's the same Luther!

Yea Pru Center is not in great area but Newark does provide good security while at game. Arena is real nice and SHU smart to curtain off the upper bowl leaving only 10k seats (FYI - They have opened the top for the first time for the Nova game in Feb). A few times we stayed after game at some local bars around the arena. 2 hours after game finishes there is no one to be found. We usually go before games when lots of activity. We are meeting tonight at 6 for the SHU vs Butler game at 8:30. Go Pirates!
