Tre's in a Funk

Postby oldhoopster » Sat Jan 14, 2017 5:04 pm

Tre is shooting just under 30% in league play (16-54) and exactly 20% (8-40) in the games since Providence. He needs to get out of that slump or X will be lucky to go 8-8 in this league. Tre often disappears in big games. Hope he can refocus and forget thoughts of the NBA.

Get your degree, young man. Worth more than playing in Turkey

Agreed. He was invited to the Nike Elite camp where 22 players were involved. I don't think he is even in the top 15 in the league now. His shot selection has a lot to do with it, but since he lacks superior quickness to blow by people, the only way he makes it to the league is by being a deadly shooter.

Bad year for so many of our guys to seemingly regress.

I'll settle with a4/5 seed. We are very good.

Talent is there for even a higher seed. They weren't a consensus Top ten pick for nothing, even though there was uncertainty as to whether or not MD would be back at all. Good news is there are plenty of opportunities to do so. Players and Coaches need to "up" their games.

Kudos to SOM, MB, RG, and especially ES.

Tre is a ball hog and his defense is terrible.

His funk is, he can't guard ANYONE, and he doesn't try. This team has no offense and doesn't hustle on defense. 4 or 5 seed? Maybe in the NIT.

Tre will be back, I bet. At this point, he won't be a second rounder in turkey.

Brock: didn't we miss the tourney when Lenny, Gary and James were seniors? Could this happen to 95?
