Last Tuesday night's (12/6) Blue Demon home game vs. Lamar was extraordinarily sparsely attended. I would estimate about 1,000, with that possibly being a bit generous.

We don't complain. The parking lot is difficult to exit if there is a good crowd (as was the case many years ago). Slim crowd = easy egress. Of course, with small crowds, there is little energy in the building.

Sadly that program has not been relevant for decades.Pretty much since Ray Meyer.Joey had limited success.Do they get the support from the admin that Xavier does? An on campus arena would help too.

DePaul will move into the new "Wintrust Arena" (McCormick Place Event Center) for the '17-'18 season. When the concept was originally announced, the thought was it would be ready for BE play this season. As with anything in Chicago (unless it came to Richie Daley's tearing up Meigs Field), delays were involved.

The Arena will be located in the South Loop, not on campus, at Cermak Road & Indiana Avenue. It will seat 10,000 and the first opponent is expected to be Notre Dame.

Season ticket holders are due to receive a "preliminary mailing" any day now, with more details in January.

My take is Athletics receives the support. Accountability for the Men's Basketball program may be the question.

Illinois Chcago is playing @ Depaul on Fox tonight. Looks like a high school gym hosting 2 middle school teams. Looks like there are 20 people in the stands.
