Myles
Has anyone heard the latest as far as Myles? I know there was discussion he would be back on the team in time for the BE schedule but there seems to be nothing more about it recently. X could really use his offensive production and added depth at the guard position.

The national television announcers imply that he'll be back. They seem to know something that we don't.muskiefan92 wrote:Has anyone heard the latest as far as Myles? Mack has alluded to it on several occasions.Pierre Dracot wrote: The national television announcers imply that he'll be back. They seem to know something that we don't.

Re: Myles
Chris Mack thinks basketball 24/7/365. I'm sure his decision will be based on our being the best we can be in March. Meanwhile, our transfers and rookies are getting invaluable experience.

It's frustrating to not have him out there, it's nice to see that coach is valuing discipline over success on the court.

Re: Myles
My very reliable source told me that CM has given Myles a list of goals to achieve before being allowed to return. He is progressing through the list. He is taking his course work online, eliminating the distractions he would have to deal with on campus.

Re: Myles
I really like Myles, but I'm starting to question his effectiveness at this point in the season. We're about to find out what kind of team we are on Saturday. Q Goodin seems to be improving each game.

Re: Myles
Paul H., I hear what you are saying but disagree vehemently. Here's why:
1) Q Goodin is progressing, but he knows only the PG position so far and has never played a heated road game versus top talent. Not his fault. X has not played that challenging of a schedule, although that is about to ramp up a notch. Have you been watching some of these intense games like NC versus IN last eve, or Mich St versus Duke? The pace in those games seems ratcheted up several notches over what X has been involved with to date. There is ZERO substitute for the experience and versatility Myles brings us. Plus his ability to stretch the "D" and drive the lane when open. Myles brings us the chemistry of having been through the road wars. If we want to compete for a Final Four, we need Myles as a bullet in Mack's chamber.
2) Myles deserves it, (if he wants it and earns his way back). He is a senior. He sat out and paid his way first year when the NCAA made that bogus ruling. He has been a good soldier and teammate. His offense this past off-season was serious but nothing of a tragic scale. Plain & simple, allowing Myles a pathway to fight his way back onto the team is the righteous thing to do. I look forward to standing and cheering wildly for him on Senior Night.

Re: Myles
Just remember, it is going to take Myles a while to get back into playing shape, no matter how much he has been working out. He has missed a lot of practice. My hope is that we have the old Myles completely back by the end of January.
