Some top 15 teams LOST

I know that some of the games had top teams playing each other and someone had to lose but still some were a big deal. Duke (1), Oregon (4), Wisconsin (9), Mich St. (11), Purdue (15) all lost. UConn is 0 an 2 (playing low major teams) and Mich St is also 0 and 2. It seems that (like every year) that all teams can be beat. I hope that Gates can get back soon because (as we all know) are not very deep. Go Xavier!

Oregon's loss was to Baylor by a 66-49 score. Xavier plays at Baylor on 12/3.

This is not a top 20 team. I like what I see so far in some of the young cats, especially TJones and Goodin, but I think our lack of depth will catch up to us very quickly. Much to be revealed this weekend. Nice win by the Bluejays last night. IMHO, I think that not having Myles and Gates is a big blow.

I do agree with Paul Hickey in that at this point we don't seem to living up to our rating. I guess the three games in four days will tell us where we stand. At least Goodin and Jones took some positive steps because we really need them to be a factor. Like Paul said we really need Davis and Gates to expand our depth. Go Xavier!

For every action etc. There has been extra time to find out about Bernard,Gaston,TJ and Goodin. Even if we lose might have anyway.

Rankings are worthless in November.

"The Coach" is spot on here folks. Or as Aaron Rodgers once stated: R-E-L-A-X...
Once Myles ran afoul of the law and Gates went under the blade, we all should have realized the going was about to get tough real quick. No doubt we will lose a few more early this season than we might have if full-go. Not a disaster if that allows us to develop some of the younger kids and transfers. Our main issue, and it will bite us all year, is a lack of athletic posts. Sean and Rashid are plodders and we will pay heavily versus teams with talented Bigs. I was encouraged by T-Jones progress in game 2. He could really bolster our concerns defending the paint and rebounding versus stud post competition. So sit back and enjoy the evolution of this team. Might just be 180 degrees from last season where we started white-hot yet fizzled down the stretch. ;-)
