40 Minutes for Sumner?

I thought Sumner came out for a quick break but box score showed 40 minutes. Hopefully Monday, Gooden is able to play some minutes without Sumner on the floor. Orlando tourney with three games in four days will really put some pressure on Xavier and lack of depth. Sumner is going to need to get some breaks or he will breakdown.

I was at the game and Sumner did come out for a very brief time. But I think someone picked up another foul (Bernard maybe?) and Ed was right back in. Guess he wasn't out more than 30 seconds and it still rounded up to 40 minutes.

Does anybody have a sense of when Myles will be reinstated?

Probably when he enrolls.

This is a flippant response, isn't it? Or are you referencing a real impediment to his return?

He can't play until he is enrolled and reinstated. He is neither now, but everyone's best guess is , if he stays, out of trouble, he will enroll for the second semester, be reinstated and play immediately. The theory is he doesn't have to wait until class start, just like freshmen football players practice and play before some schools start class. That's the gist of what is being said on the pay board.

Not flippant at all, just factual.
The NCAA says one can't play if they aren't in school so I imagine he'll be at practice when he regains his scholastic status.

Everything Ive read says next semester, with the earliest being the end of this semester and the latest being the official start of next semester.

So if Myles isn't available for whatever reason, we have a real issue with someone to spell Sumner or if God forbid, he goes down. The Big East is physical and I don't see Sumner holding up playing 38+ minutes a game. I am hoping that Gooden's learning curve is short.
