43,257 vs 70,000 ??? NCAA final game

Dustin Dow said in his blog that there were only 43,257 at the Final game. My understanding was that the NCAA configured that arena to hold 70,000. That means there were almost 27,000 empty seats which had sold but no one came on Monday night. Is that right?

i read a lot so i now know where i got the 70,000. lol. In looking at the Final Four attendance figures for past Final Fours : New Orleans has the records in that they configured and sold seating for the FF at 64,000 three times. But starting in 2009 the NCAA Final Four at the Ford Arena in Detroit the minimum seating capacity has been configured at 70,000 seats. It will set the new trend in configuration for the FF. (lol PS of course 30,000 seats will have oxygen tanks for the persons at 10,000 feet high lol)
