It had the potential to get ugly had it been a game, once again seeing a luxury box at Cintas full of opposing fans, but since UD was so undermanned and beaten like a redheaded stepchild...it was nice to see them all quaratined in their own little area like the cry room at the back of a church.
This one time, I could care less who let them in, although I was curious as to why it was full UD students...good for them I guess. BUT I AM STILL AGAINST OPPOSING FANS GETTING A LUXURY BOX AT CINTAS, regardless of how or why they got it, bsuiness or personal, I am just against it.
Gooooooooooooooo Dayton Cryers!
Interesting side note...their message board talked about how "weak" Duncan was, yet he took 2 charges in the first half and played probably the best game all year in my opinion. Good to see.

yeah, D West was soft but put a hurt on their great player...whatsname
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Then you clearly don't understand, or refuse to accept the blindingly obvious reasons, why many companies spend big bucks on the boxes at Cintas, the Shoe, PBS, or GABP. It's not about supporting the Muskies, Bearcats, Bengals , or Reds. It's about entertaining clients and prospective clients, regardless of their team affiliation.MusketeerNDH wrote:This one time, I could care less who let them in, although I was curious as to why it was full UD students...good for them I guess. Golf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.

I hope they enjoyed our hospitality.
Some ticket broker may have gotten rich. If not, I hope the box owner made a sale today.

I'm with ya NDH! I'm glad someone is policing the Tas for foreigners in our presence. Screw the property rights of folks who paid big bucks to get us out of the Gardens and into our own beautiful building. In fact, why stop at luxury boxes (they really aren't that luxurious, though they are somewhat exclusive.) The urinals, they let them use the urinals and buy food, too! Separate lines and facilities, I say. Don't give me any of that "we will know they are Christians by their love" crapola, either.
In fact, why let "them" in the building at all? Idea: build a wall and checkpoints on I-75 at the Hamilton County line, check DLs and passports. It will be so easy to profile em, just look for anyone in red and blue.

You know Carlos, That is the way it is at VD arena. You are in no way as a Xavier fan allowed to use the restrooms or concessions. Their fans make sure of that.CarlosTheJackal wrote: In fact, why stop at luxury boxes (they really aren't that luxurious, though they are somewhat exclusive.) In terms of the Luxury box. I am fine with it. Some shmuck gave Xavier $40,000+ so they can show clients how their teams get smacked down by X.

Personally, I think if any of these luxury boxes are owned by alum that should be humiliated in public by posting their names on this site.
I saw the same thing at the Tenn game.
I say we put a poster on the wall in front of the box stating
"The <insert apposing teams name here> players thank <insert box owner's name here> for supporting our team."

It is owned by American Financial (Carl Linder) and most of the big guys who run American Financial are big UC backers.

Re: Luxury Box full of UD fans
As stated in the previous discussion on this matter, just be thankful we have business owners willing to shell out the big money needed to own and operate a box for every game. You are a moron for suggesting that we boycott or try to embarass the owners of the box in question. WHO CARES??? I had UD fans around me in our Premium I seats. Should I hunt down the owners and humiliate them for it? Get over it or put your money where your mouth is and buy the box yourself.
