Who do we stop and with X playing D like tonight how do we score enough? They ahve the advantage of being at home but X could make a real statement with a win at Umass.

Sean said on the post-game show that UMass matches up very well with us and don't forget, we have to go there and play. For some reason, as good as we are at home, hasn't seemed to translate on the road, so don't get too hyped up yet.

No hype here just I would rather see T Ford having a problem deciding which player he needs to stop in order to win. I think he know how to do that to dayton.

It would be nice to see X take the UMass game to give them a big boost in the polls. UMass is a better team than people think and they didn't have to play Thursday night.

They're thinking like all the A-10 thinks when X comes to town ... time to dial it up. Thye'll play their best game of the year. It's a game I'm concerned about. Hope we come up with a win. If we play our game and not theirs, we should.

I'll play the Devil's Advocate here.

They are probably thinking: "We get to play Xavier. That's the team that had their clock cleaned by Temple, squeaked by GW, and whomped a wounded Dayton team. We play our game and we can beat them."

I think their thinking is wrong.

What we did last night will have no bearing on Sunday.X has always had a hard time winning in Amherst. It would be a huge win .UMASS will be smarting from the loss to St.Joe's.I don't think they're going to be intimidated by X at all.

For the unwary--and even the wary-- this is not last year's UMASS pounding the ball to 2 talented insider guys; they play very fast, like to press full court ( remember those lazy passes vs. UT) and Ford is a coach on the rise. Besides knowing a third league loss would really hurt themselves, they are thinking we win if we score in bunches and in a hurry. Ford is a Pitino disciple so look for multiple traps on the ball all over the court and some varied zone defenses.

I hate to be a pessimist but I see a loss at UMass. They not only match up well with us, but they are also more talented this year than in years past. More importantly, UMass always gives us fits...especially on their court. The two teams I fear more than all the others in this league when we are on the road are Temple and UMass. Given the Temple debacle, I am not optimistic about Sunday's game. I sure hope to be proved wrong on this.

They are probably thinking Oh Boy, Xavier is coming to town after a big win, and they play like they've never seen a basketball on the road. Until we sack up, and beat someone on the road in a tight game, the jury is still out on these guys.

GW game wasn't close enough for you?
