How many people are going to the game?
How many do you think Xavier will have and will we outnumber WVU?

I'm not sure about WVU alumns who are located elsewhere in the country, but in general, people from West Virginia don't travel too much. My guess X fans will out number the WVU fans.

WVU is a huge state school with an entire state population behind them. Every college bball fan(and then some) in the entire state will be watching the game. It's safe to say that Xavier doesn't have the same following.
It doesn't really matter, I'd rather be BETTER than BIGGER. Go X!

Cincinnati metro area population = 1.9 million
West Virginia total state population = 1.8 million
Therefore, my scientific research says Xavier should have more fans than WVU, even if you subtract the handful that still admit they are UC fans.

the majority of fans in cincy are UC backers.
XU, in general, has a small but very supportive group of fans. i think we travel well despite our small numbers (compared to much larger schools).

WVU usually has a good following with football bowl games. I don't see why this would be any different. I also remember the WVU-UC football game at the Nip, I would say WVU fans outnumbered UC fans about 65 to 35.
So WVU fans reading this board and going out to Phoenix: don't forget to pack your toothbrush!

The real question is how many Cincinnati people will root for X and how many will root for Huggs.I know a lot of UC fans will be pulling for WVU.
