.....James “Beetle” Bolden. Looks like Chris wants this guy to know that X wants him. If we can keep Cals mitts off him X just might get him for 2015

I don't think Cal is gonna bother with a point guard the size of Bolden.

all I can say is that poor #10 gets scored on in almost every article!

Cal has watched him play and 5'9" or not he will not let talent get away if he can get him to produce at UK. Cal might have other plans but he at least looks at a kid that can fill it up. We need the Jedi mind trick if this kid is as talented as they say. "You don't want the 5'9" point guard, you want the other 5'9" point guard" (in our best Sir Alec Guinness, Obi-Wan voice)

Most of the articles about his recruitment list him at 5'11". Scout.com has him at 6'2" (?). As a high school junior it is not inconceivable that he could get taller. Would be a good get for X. With Sumner's (6'3", 3-star and rising) commitment, Bolden may put other schools ahead of XU.

I've watched him play a few times. UC is watching him closely too. He's a slender 5-10. He's a lefty with a great handle. I like how he can stop, pull up, and drop a jumper on the dime and his mechanics allow him to elevate over taller people. His hands are over his head when he shoots which is not common for sophs. He has a developing tear drop in traffic too. He is an excellent free throw shooter as well. His future is bright no doubt. If he grows to 6-3, 6-4 or so it will be difficult to keep him from UK or UL.

I doubt he's going to grow much more. IIRC, he's old for a sophomore (17 during the season). That being said, I doubt the commitment of Sumner/Abell would affect his recruitment much. Any good recruit isn't going to be scared away from competition. Also, you have to think Mack & co. are pretty good at selling these kids on a shared backcourt, something like "we don't have a point guard and a shooting guard, we have/will have 2-3 guards on the floor that can handle, distribute, score at any time."
