Majerus says X one and done

He's on Dan Patrick's radio show, saying the Georgia will knock off X next Thursday because (1) X doesn't have a "horse", and that the NCAA isn't a "win by committee" format, and (2) Georgia will still be on the emotional high from the SEC tourney.

Patrick was somewhat sticking up for us, and found Majerus' call on this game surprising.

Considering the recent comment of Mr. Rick and seeing how he handled his players this year his comments don't surprise me any more. Next week he probably will come out and say I wasn't his fault his players didn't win more because his bare naked practices always encouraged other programs.

He has become the A-10's court jester this year.

He did pick SJU over Oklahoma, stuck up for Temple, and also Butler, so he wasn't just going with the Big Six teams.

He just thinks our season will end Thursday. I suspect a lot of people will be picking GA to beat us. They'll probably be the "hot" upset pick.

On a more positive note, today's Chicago Sun-Times has the following comments in its NCAA section-

"Balance lineup filled with athleticism and tenacious defenders. Musketeers are capable of deep run."

"After staggering to 4-12 finish in the SEC, 'Dawgs shocked the world with improbable tourney run that may have saved Felton's job. But lack of scoring and proven talent means Cinderella run will end quickly."

I have no doubt that we will be "THE UPSET PICK." However, I'm not for sure that it will happen. X is a VERY athletic team. We will have to play a half court game and stay away from the run & shoot. I expect it to be close.

Doesn't matter what Majerus or anyone else says. Georgia has had an incredible run in the SEC tournament, it's a nice story and they are a dangerous team.
But all that matters is what happens Thursday, and X wins if they play as they are capable.
