Why would he go there if he wants a shot at playing in the NCAA tourney?

Good point, Woods. I guess he expects a) a quick turnaround under Hurley; and/or b) he is sufficient to get them to the tournament.

Either or both could be problematic thinking.

Maybe Andre Walker should give him a call. Is that allowable under NCAA rules?

I find it funny that him leaving also hurts UConn's academic standing as his GPA is 3.6, much higher than average. I guess UConn better get serious about basketball players' academic standing if they don't want to miss more tourneys.

How will their conference tourney work if they aren't allowed to make the NCAA next year? I assume they just won't be allowed to play in it and they'd have to restructure the bracket but not sure.

He's from Lowell, MA; it's close to home.

The kid from Rutgers that is transfering is also thinking of uri. (per my thread yesterday)

Maybe they have a plan to redo the program but will they have to sit or has the NCAA grant a libration because of the UConn punishment.

Interesting if he did come to X and if he is such a good student that would not hurt either....but it this one of those dreams people have been having!

What's up with hijacking my thread? He will be eligible to play right away.
