Something Must Change or Our Time in the NCAA will be SHORT!

Postby Leeny4ever » Fri Mar 14, 2008 9:56 pm

If we dont get back to playing better we dont have a chance in the NCAA no matter what seed we are...we need to get back to more consistent scoring each night, Duncan needs to get it together (he is back to his old ways) and BJ needs to spend the next week in the gym looking for his shot...We pay Sean $900,000 he needs to earn his money this week and get the team refocused!!

You win the MR OBVIOUS award. Thank you for making the world so simple for all us ignorant folk.

BTW you don't get anything be our sincere thanks.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

We lost by 8 points. We shot 1-14 from three; hence only 8 assists. On the positive side we outrebopunded them handily. Couple of little things change and we win. So it goes. I guarantee if we outrebound folks consistently, we will win 99% of our games. Now stop this crap and let's look forward.

The ignorance of some of the posters on this board never ceases to amaze me. Xavier loses one game and suddenly nobody can play. Meanwhile, national observers (who actually know something about college basketball) rave about the Muskies and give credit to a very, very talented St. Joe's team that underachived all year and was in desperate need of a win.

Nocal, it was also the lack of energy for most of the game, the defensive lapses and the turnovers that contributed to this loss. It's not like we played our ass off and just couldn't shoot. We played like it was October 15th AND couldn't shoot.

Throw all the lipstick on it you want--this team lost two times in one week to a 10 seed. Hey, I was one of those guys who wished for a 2 seed...uh, no.

X plays a team with any type of inside game and goes cold from outside, good night!

At least BJ is back next year!

The turnovers were within the usual range and possibly low unless ESPN has the figure incorrect.

If we play a team with a big man and we are hot from the outside it will be goodnight to them.

WKRQ what are you smoking...how did Sean earn his money last night, the guy did not have his team ready to play and did not make the changes necessary to beat a team he played 8 days prior...to me that is not good coaching.

There has been a consistent pattern in most, if not all, of our losses. The fact that we can't (or don't) try something different when we are not hitting the threes.

If this team runs a balanced offense, we are scary. If Duncan, Anderson, and Love can give us a lost-post offensive presence, I guarantee we hit more 3's. If we are balanced (from the perspective of post / long-range scoring), we are VERY hard to beat...for anyone in the country.
