Why did X even bother showing up tonight?

They should have just taken in a movie, seen some sights, and pretended they're the best team in the A-10.

Jesus H. Christ, I'm tired of seeing performances like this from Xavier teams over the years. We all talk about how good we are, how we don't get the respect we deserve, how this team is going a long way, etc.---and then we forget to show up in big games.

All of a sudden, we can't play D, we can't play O, we play as if we're on life support, and I'm sure there'll be a lot of tough talk in the paper tomorrow about how this will only make X more hungry.

Right.

They definetly played like the didn't really care.It be nice to go into next week off a better performance than this. But honestly calm down.We finally had a poor 3 point shooting effort.I'd rather have it this week than next.

What's irritating is when one of our players runs his big mouth about how we don't get the respect we deserve, then they struggle against a weak UD team and get it handed to the by St. Joe's for the second time over the last couple weeks. Stan, you have to earn respect, they don't just give it to you. Shut up and play. It makes you look like more of a baby when you complain about something, then don't back it up.

Honestly, at this moment in time, I think we got beat by the better team. You would have thought we would bring our A game in order to prove that the loss in the last match-up was a fluke, but this one-sided affair is what we got. I think it's ultimately because St. Joe's size and versatility is a bad match for us.

If the Hawks win tomorrow, I wouldn't want to be the team to play them in the Big Dance...provided they're bringing their best effort. Because, if they are, they are easily a Top 20 team. Unfortunately that effort hasn't been there consistently and it has hurt them and, to some extent, the A-10.

I agree re stinking it up now rather than later, but we could just as easily stink it up next week as well. We haven't been playing well for months.

WOW. we lose a game and the sky is falling. Well your sky didn't fall all season long and X will make the dance with a nice seed.

NOW I will help all you disappointed to the extreme fans. If you think this team will go no where they I suggest you play golf or go to the beach next week because nothing will please you.

No one is as disappointed than me but X has played great ball this year and we all have heard this is a game of match-ups and no team matches up with X better than St joes.

Please do yourself and your health a favor and take a break until X suits up again.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

any sophisticated observer of college basketball will note that the reason Xavier lost is that no one could hit outside shots. It happens sometimes. The effort was there, the shots were not. Relax.

(1) blue, I said we sucked tonight. There can't possibly be much argument about that.

(2) In my opinion, we left our best game behind once conference play started, and we are by no means playing our best ball right now. If that's the case, it's going to be a very short tourney run for X, no more than 2 games, which is a pretty depressing thought for a 27-6 team ranked in the top ten.

You said we haven't played well for months.I mean are you serious? We are 13-3 since league play started.Did we luck into those wins? That's one of our best conference records ever.We lost twice to St Joes.Maybe they are the one team that gives us problems.Quit over analyzing every single minute of every game. This is still the most talented team we've had and tonight doesn't change that.
