Butler Game thread 02/06/2018

X goes to 9-3 against Butler in new BE play.
Butler is our new UD.

Don't get carried away. I realize that X beat Butler in BE tourney but Butler swept them during the year. Last time Dayton played X. Dayton beat the spread. X was supposed to win by 41 and only won by 40.

Thanks for posting Shadow - I missed that and also enjoyed the 2nd clip with Karem & Tre.
What a terrific atmosphere last eve at the Hinkle Barnyard. Majority of folks around the country have little clue as to just how hard it is for a visiting team to win in there. A collective show of onions by the X-men. I am impressed with Butler's new coach. Also impressed with Patrick Ewing after watching G-Town play well enough to win last night again at Prov. Just a lot to love about the Big East this year and, of course, our Muskies!

Didn't Butler bill us for that water fountain? Did we ever pay it. Or did we send them a new clock?

I like the Naji line. played good D and scored 15 missing one shot and missed one from the line. 6 rebounds and some big one at the end

And his 3 pointer to start OT was a huge lift after BU came to tie and force OT.
A lot of big plays but that one was huge.

Tu Holloway made a lot of clutch shots but Trevon is right there.
That some major league onions on that last 3 ball.

For about the first 30 minutes Martin had outplayed Tre but when the game was on the line, Tre shined and Martin faded.
Martin missed his last 4 shot attempts - 2 in regulation and 2 in OT.
With 11 minutes left in the game, Tre stepped up.
He scored 20 points in the last 16 minutes - going 4-5 from 3, 1-2 from 2 and 6-7 from the line.
A truly clutch performance.

Funny, as there was a point last night where the 30 second clock started but the game clock didn't, giving Butler an extra 3-4 seconds.
