Re: Butler
NCAA success is important but LaSalle is hardly a better program than XU and neither is George Mason. Wake up!

Re: Butler
Exactly, recent history is more important then stuff that happened a long time ago. Lasalle is a perfect example. They had great success in the past, but that doesn't affect where they are as a program now. No one is going to argue that Army is a great program in football because back in the 20's and 40's they were a great program.

Re: Butler
Did I ever say LaSalle and George Mason were better than X?
Butler and Xavier are very comparable, I was throwing in what I thought was an important stat to look at between those 2 programs.
How quick we are to discount stats that don't back up X....

Lets remember, we at X only have 1 Sweet 16 and 1 Elite 8 in the history of our program. How does that compare to Butler?
Xavier only has one S16? Really?

Re: Butler
Butler's program is not, NOT comparable to XU's. Their teams may be on certain years but not their programs.

Re: Butler
How many players does Butler have/had who are playing in the NBA?
How many years in the past 25, has Butler qualified for the NCAA tourney?
What is the average ranking of Butler recruits, and who are they competing with for these recruits?
When a Butler coach leaves, what conferences/type of schools do they tend to get offers from?
I mean really, Butler has a nice team this year, and has a great 2-year run. However, their program as a whole is no where in the same league as Xavier. Butler is to Xavier and much as Xavier is to UNC/Duke. Sure some years we may have team that can compete with UNC/Duke, but as a whole is pretty obvious which program is superior....

According to the link provided in another thread, Butler has had 3 players who have played a game in the NBA but the most recent person was 1974:kmcrawfo wrote:How many players does Butler have/had who are playing in the NBA?

Good breakfast! So he was at least a double threat.

I don't know, don't feel like looking it up
What is the average ranking of Butler recruits, and who are they competing with for these recruits?
Xavier, IU, Purdue, Miami, Dayton, etc. same as XU
When a Butler coach leaves, what conferences/type of schools do they tend to get offers from?
Nebraska-B 12, Iowa-Big 10
oh yea, but thad stopped for an profitable cup of coffee at X before OSU. where do x's coachs go, BIG 6, as well.

Xavier to UNC/DUke, LOL, yeah great 2 year run, 2 sweet 16's in the last 5 year,
You are to douche, as duke is to unc
Butler is to top10, which X is not
X is a loser to an under .500 mid-major (MIAMI-OH), Butler is not

You make dayton fans look like idiot savants. Moron.
Find me one bracketology that has Butler with a higher projected seed than X, just one (winning gets that lofty ranking).
Miami is NOT under .500 and I would take a loss at Millet than to Cleveland St or Wright St.
Seriously, do you read your post, give yourself a high five and think you got us?
