you don't just "give" guys playing time. they have to EARN it. in practice and then performing in games. he didn't do that last year and he was playing behind Farr and Reynolds, one of the best 4/5 combos we've had in a long time! he knew full well both of those guys would be gone and with an off-season of lifting, working on his game, etc, would've been given a huge chance to step into a larger role this season. if he wasn't that homesick, he would've waited for that chance. had NOTHING to do with not playing more minutes as a frosh at all.
i agree that with our lack of guard depth now because of injuries, LAJ would help but how can you account for guys getting hurt?
they both did what they thought was best for them. LAJ would've clearly been the #3 PG on the depth chart. he saw that and looked elsewhere for more PT. it happens.

Exactly how do you know this to be true??? He played very well early last year when he and O'Mara got minutes, hitting 3s, playing good D, and collecting assists. When Farr and Reynolds got into foul trouble against USC, both played extended minutes, and London showed tremendous ability. Mack and Co have done a great job luring high caliber recruits, and a poor job keeping them. We lost 4 eligible players this year from last: Reynolds, LAJ, Eyikor, and London. WThey blew it with London, plain and simple. Now, one of our key recruits for next year, the post player from Fla, is transferring to revive his grades which are on life support. Mman has the paddles ready to shock them back into eligibility.

Pray tell, How did Myles Davis earn meaningful minutes his 1st game back, after only 1 1/2 practices when he returned? I kind of think guys like O'Mara cried B.S. on that one. He was asked to leave because he got into an altercation with yet another young lady. He blew his second chance, and hopefully, didn't cause any resentment with the players.
