Don't agree. That is not what recent history suggests.

The Big East, probably because of the intense media coverage it has gotten, was regularly getting multiple at-large bids - sometimes as many as 7 or 8 teams invited. So even the teams in the middle of the conference standings have been getting invitations. Let's face it, the number of people following the different conferences has an impact on the selection committee.

Nope. The Big East gets 7 or so teams in because they have ton of teams in their league and many of the teams are good and worthy of an invite.

If anything, the data suggests the committee needs to pick more big conference teams if you want to actually take the best teams.

Hopefully the TV deal with Fox won't include FSN Ohio. If I'm forced to watch another Blue Jackets or Cavs game while the Muskies are on, I will lose it.

I agree. A few years ago I was watching the X game on FSN Ohio. At halftime I went into the other room to check the halftime stats on my computer. When I came back to the t.v the Blue Jackets were on and they never switched back to the XU game.

I hope that the coaches can parly this news into some more 5 star recruits. Going against the monster players teams like GT and marquette recruit will be tough to play twice a year.

I disagree. It's not like X has played teams from the top conferences and done poorly. In fact, it's been the opposite. When we've faced the SEC, Big East and Big Ten in the regular and post season, we've won for the most part. I also doubt we go to the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 all those years with subpar talent.

but we have been told that night in and night out the big east played the top teams. Now you tell me they are no better than what X has played in ooc
