muskieman dump this guy and his crap.
Huh?
I'm talking college hoops. Miller was handed a talented and very veteran team and has done well thus far.
He got fired and his former team has taken off without him. Sorry if that angers you.
It would be a bad look if the mods banned me for legit basketball discussion after allowing 2 years of personal attacks on our prior coach without consequences.
So now you are telling the mods what a bad look is? You have been warned to stop your attacks on our coach when the information that the FBI and now the NCAA have provided about the Arizona situation and that Miller was not guilty of any violations. You claim Book was the fall guy despite the information that Book was trying to get money for players when in fact he was doing it for his own gain and just so happened to pick a couple of FBI agents as his marks.
Arizona in its desperate attempt to avoid penalties made a knee ***** firing of Miller which was a benefit in the long run for Xavier. I have been accused of being a Steele sycophant by some here, but I feel that while Travis had some positive moments in his tenure, it was not enough to retain him when Sean's name became available. I appreciate the good things Travis gave to the Xavier program but in the end it was not enough.
As for 2 years of attacks on our prior coach, you do not know what was allowed and what was not allowed so don't go lecturing me or any mod. There are people on here that will tell you that they also were warned and suspended after straying too far from decorum. They too beat a dead horse, and it is their problem that they cannot get past that history. They too have and will continue to be warned and have their posts deleted when they pontificate. I and the real mods try very hard to give everyone a voice, but trolls only detract from the board, and you only have to look to other boards to see it is a problem there too.
You can have your opinion, and you have expressed it time after time to the point you have beaten that horse so much that you have become a one-trick pony. There is a limit to your idea of what the truth is so again I will warn you not to pick fights with people just because you liked Travis and hate Miller and don't try in hide it in some of your vague left-handed compliments
BTW your list is as bogus as your complaints. Experts agree that Miller is not only a very good and solid coach but a good to a great recruiter and in-game coach. So let's talk facts: At X The Musketeers won 120 of the 167 games he coached over a 5-year span. Miller also owns two of Xavier’s eight Sweet 16 appearances and guided the program to just its second Elite Eight during a 2007-08 season it finished with a 30-7 record. Miller took X to four NCAA tournaments, in addition to winning three A-10 regular season championships and one conference tournament championship. In the 2008 NCAA tournament, the 3rd-seeded Musketeers were eliminated in the Elite Eight by #1 seed UCLA, while in 2009, they were eliminated in the Sweet 16 by another #1 seed, Pittsburgh.
At Arizona within three months of joining the program, Miller assembled a recruiting class ranked #12 in the nation by Scout.com Miller won 73.5% of Zona games over his 12 seasons as head coach, including runs to the Elite Eight in 2011, 2014, and 2015. He also won 30 or more games on four separate occasions. As far as recruiting Miller reeled in elite talent throughout his tenure. Arizona received commitments from 22 prospects rated as five stars by 247Sports since 2003. Sixteen of those five stars committed to Miller. Eight of those 22 prospects were also ranked top 10 recruits nationally. Six chose the Wildcats under Miller’s watch. I could go on and name some of these players, but then I would be piling on.
Miller has won five league Coach of the Year Awards: once in the A10, three in the Pac-12, and once as USA Basketball Coach of the Year
Those are the facts about Sean Miller as head coach, and you know what he has done this year
