Re: Tomorrow!!
Maybe X should do a separate split pot every home game with the proceeds going to help fund Coach Miller's contract... Gotta get creative... Dan

Happy to volunteer to walk up and down the aisles to help the Xavier cause! Resume’ includes doing so for the the last two decades at sporting events at the Chicago Catholic League High School my son and I attended.

Re: Tomorrow!!
Obviously split-the-pot comments are tongue-in-cheek. But it may not be far fetched. The current split-the-pot, held for different sports programs, brings in $3000-$5000 per game. If it were to be held to supplement the coach's salary, it may bring in $50,000.

Need I remind you that my main mode of transportation is a 2008 Dodge Caravan? I also don't have a 7,000 sq ft home in Indian Hill as you do, with big screen plasma TVs on the ceiling of every room, playing Scarface 24-7.muskieman wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 6:01 pmI don't see a problem with the salary, X has donors that will pony up just like they have done for Mack and Travis. Heck AH alone could finance Miller and all his assistants and still make that $1 mill donation every year. And remember Sean is damaged goodsXU Rocks! wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 4:31 pmJust being realistic: there is no way XU can compete financially with SC. Sean left to Arizona for $2.9mm/year and Mack left to Louisville for $4m/year. Martin was making $3.3mm/year at SC before he was let go. I don't see XU being able to come up with > $2mm/year for anyone. Just a sad reality.muskieman wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 2:11 pmSC offered but Miller is willing to wait for X to get their ducks in a row with an offer which seems like a good thing for X. SC must fear this because they are interviewing other possible candidates, in Atlanta. Of course, if X fools around too much, and how much is too much is the question, Sean could get tired of waiting and just sign the SC offer.
b I think this weekend is an important time frame, not so much as to get Sean signed but to get him what X is willing to do and offer.

GUYS, what SC offered is a lot more than what Martin was making. Right now the big donors are busy trying to come up with a way matching the offerAnti-Homer wrote: ↑Sat Mar 19, 2022 4:31 pmNeed I remind you that my main mode of transportation is a 2008 Dodge Caravan? AH just go buy a Toyota and help the cause.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.
