I am usually one of the no/yes crowd whenever Hunter/Free shoots especially Free considering his percentage and there is typically no when under. The last two he was set and ryhthm.
the only time I like the three when no one is there to rebound is when other teams do that, on that we agree. I just don't make it the overriding issue because 90-95% of players that take threes do it at some times, including great three-point shooters. BTW when Zach was asked if he heard the crowd he said no but it would not make a difference because a shooter has to shoot! He didn't say Travis made him do it!

Hunter had a good game and played within himself last night. The only time I was upset was when he accidentally poked Colby in the face.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

If winning is all that matters and counts, then we got what we wanted .... A WIN!! As usual there was not consistency in the game from X, a slow start, down 5-0 to start, then good runs of scoring and bad runs of no scoring, and terrible final minutes on X 's part, throwing away a big lead, and barely winning. X won, and that is great. Do they look like an Elite 8 or better team for the Dance....no, not in any way. No consistency to dominate or put the other team away and keep them down. X still scoring in the 60s which will NOT beat the better teams in the Dance, who will score 70 to 80 points or better. IMHO, X will make the Dance, and play one or two games and be out.

By this stage of the season - this is what we are. A decent team capable of probably hanging with most if Nate & Kunkel are hitting about 38% from deep. We are going to have to stomach Free's 3's cuz he makes just enough to think that next one is going in. Bench depth has shrunk slowly but surely although still better than many across the D-1 landscape. I am not thrilled with our lack of consistency both on O and D, but what is one to do. As I said, this appears to be our plateau for this year and upon what we will use to ride out the rest of the season. We will win against most teams we are better than. We will only win against equal or greater teams when we shoot really well from the perimeter. Still perplexes me when we go through spells where other teams can drive to the basket at ease with little physical deterrent and late arriving help. Then at other times we are locked in. We can be an enigma.... Last night was not pretty, but even less so for Butler, so we got that go'in for us - which is nice....

Yea, Gotta love that unselfish team first attitude. You can't spell leadership without Freemantle. "Give me an unearned, cocky statement that would never come out of Odom's mouth for $500 Alex."

I'll take "What happens in droves when neither Nunge nor Miles are in the game Alex."
