SOM is the MVP of the first half. I'll go out on a limb and say If that's the case in the second half we're going home very early.

1st sign of life for X, albeit a one on 4 30 footer with Bernard wide open in the corner. However, if it takes 4 banked 3 pointers by Q to win the game, I'll take it, especially if X wins by at least 7 points (for no particular reason).

You ain't kidding. X getting bailed out by a bad team (fouls, traveling calls). SOM came to play--credit him.mumuskie87 wrote:SOM - decent 1H.

Hope Tre can get going in second half. Get Gastown Gang going too. A couple of well placed threes from Barnard would not hurt (or Gates)

Q goes 3-3 in the 1H with shots at the rim.
Didn't see that coming either.

I think Tre has too much pride to see his college career end in the 1st game of the conference tourney against a 200+ rpi teaM IN Depaul. I predict a huge 2nd half, despite Hop's negative vibes.bluegrass wrote:We need about 15 from Bluiett in the second half or the bubble will pop

What a great a shot by Macura to end the half. Just cool as ice making that 3. Now we Bluitt to step up and actually help Xavier in the 2nd half!

Re: BE Tournament 17 - DePaul Game Thread 3-8
Offensive spacing for this team is so bad. pretty much every play starts with a pass to the elbow to Bluitt. 3rd grade coaches will tell you when you catch the ball with back to the basket you lose track of the defense and offense. Remember the term triple threat in basketball-catching the ball with your back to the basket allows you to dribble or pass-kind of easy to guard. That is your halftime lesson. Your welcome. Now lets see the Mack Magic. Perhaps stop playing zone. Leito figured out to flash to the middle. Mack's turn. Mack vs Leito like Coach K vs Dean Smith
