This is a perfect example of "One for All." Tell me every coach in the country wouldn't want one of his players going to bat for his team! I love it!

stanley burrell is a tool.

the a-10 awards are based on individual performance, and i think the coaches did a pretty good job of selecting the teams. i can't see an argument of replacing any of the first-teamers with any x players.

xavier is clearly the best team in the a-10, but i haven't seen it written anywhere that the team that finishes in first place automatically gets a player named to 1st team all-conference.

i also think calling out individual names from other teams is bush league, and he lost a lot of respect from a lot of fans around the league.
if burrell made these comments to fire up his teammates, then that's one thing. if he made these comments because he truly believes them, then he is a tool.

would i want burrell, the player, on my team? sure. but i would much rather have him without all the classless crap he says in public.

Since when is it classless to defend your teamates, all i have to say is watch out for anyone who steps in burrell's way in the tournament.

michigan- maybe I should go on a UC web site as "ohio bearcatman" and say I've been to every bearcat game, home and away, given thousands of dollars to the UCATS and then slam Cronin and the program. Sound familiar?

I guess we know who the real "tool" is, coming on a Xavier chatboard and calling out one of our players who has lead us to a top ten ranking and an NCAA lock with a top 4 seed. Trust me Brian Roberts, Jimmy Binnie and the rest of that bunch of losers will want no part of Mr. Burrell come early Thursday if they somehow get by St. Louis on Wednesday. I hope UD wins so we can make it 6 straight in the series. :P

nice deflection!

i'm calling out one of your players because he made some "toolish" statements. the fact i am a ud fan has nothing to do with my comments.

josh duncan doesn't make "toolish" comments to the media. neither do lavender, brown, anderson, etc.
sorry, but burrell does at times.

the a-10 awards are for individual performance. if burrell, lavender,or duncan played for different teams, would their numbers be worthy of INDIVIDUAL a-10 honors? probably. but you can't try to guess that maybe they would and therefore give them first team honors. it is based on numbers.

give me your a-10 1st team then, and we can compare it to the current one that was announced today.

Wow, this post cracks me up. No wonder I don't come on here much anymore. Too many pretenders & too many "tools". Right Joey? Stanley is not a Clown, so take a deep breath from your inhaler. I found notihng wrong in what he said. He's entitled to his opinion and he was backing up his teammates. We're not on the team, remember?

Oh, BTW. Dayton Sucks! In case anyone forgot.
