if xavier does not lose a game between now and the final 4, i will bet dollars against donuts that if we play any of the current 1 or 2 seeds, we will be referred to as cinderella for the duration of the game. write it down. if there is no cinderella, there is no hype.Cinderella is EASY to market. Cinderella will bring less stalwart fans to watch.

<<Then by Mr. N and thy's definition Tennessee is a Cinderella team, because they have done less than Xavier when it comes to the NCAA tournaments.>>

You tend to be called a Cinderella team in the NCAA when (1) you come from a non-Big Six conference, (2) either your school or schools from your conference rarely make deep runs in the tourney, and almost never get to the Final Four, (3) people have to ask where your school is, and (4) you have to correct other people's pronunciation of your school,

Tennessee's in the SEC, SEC teams have won national titles (including the last two), everybody knows where it is, and we can all say "Tennessee" correctly. How many people knew where George Mason is?

I am not taking anyone's side in this but I do find one thing quite hilarious.

In this poll everyone is fighting about, Butler is #2. Butler is also #8 in the country, two spots above XU.

How can someone, when arguing to defend XU, ask a question like this ignoring the fact that Butler is ranked behind X in this poll, yet ahead of X in the AP.

I love Xavier, and I am not necessarily endorsing Mr. Neutral's opinion, but one can see why he thinks people are being a little biased by taking offense to this poll.
