I agree with AH, and there is more here than my pay grade's access.Anti-Homer wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 8:55 pmThere ain't enough money in X's coffers to keep Free. It goes way beyond wanting to win an NC. It will come out. I'd love to be wrong about that because his depth would have been invaluable in the tourney. And with Miller warming up to zone, X would have an easier time hiding his defense, or lack thereof. I'm not nearly as disappointed as I would have been six weeks ago, seeing that X didn't miss a beat w/Hunter, and in fact improved the overall KP defensive rankings of the team fairly significnatly. Hunter also had the highest OTRG in the tourney. Unbelievable, considering Kunkel's offensive performances.connecticut72 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 8:11 pmMuskieman why don't you spend some of your Holy Communion money and pay Free, Jones and Nunge some NIL money so we don't have to have this discussion. Open up your pocket book start a collective and let's get it done. Then we do not have to replace any of these guys. I would throw in a few shekels. That is what is happening in the rest of the College game we need to participate if we wan to win.. By the way why do we need this kid from Az? I f he cannot defend and shoots worse than Kunkel? Can't we do better? Co'mon Muskieman put some up $$$$ and let's get it done. LOL. Go X. Great year it has been fun on this chatboard. Love you all. Go UCONN. How about Andre jackson!!!

Re: The hardest guy to replace
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Agree with MM and his spiritual advisor AH that Free ain’t coming back. Miller has moved on and is looking for his replacement. Jones is doubtful and can’t really blame him for leaving. We have filled a hole with the new PG from Zona and Green can back him up. Swain needs to put on weight but should gain sone minutes at the 3. Nunge they are assuming is gone and looked disinterested and it was past his bedtime on Friday.

I wouldn't be too quick to say he is a lock. His NIL demands may be too big for X. I think it would be no loss for X. I am surprised you want him as Kriisa is a bad defender and not a prolific scorer add to that a mediocre athleteskyhops wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 10:26 amAgree with MM and his spiritual advisor AH that Free ain’t coming back. I heard the same thing earlier and it looks like Chuggins can get him more money. Krissa is a really good shooter and mediocre defender but still one of best PG's in his league. I trust Miller will get him straightened out, but looks like he Chuggy Bear might have him. We need a PG until Green is ready.

Re: The hardest guy to replace
If all these guys leave, wouldn’t it be 6-9 openings, minus those already signed. Nunge, Boum, Kunkel and 2 or 3 walk ons we’re honored on Senior Night. Add Jones, Hunter, Freemantle and KyKy and you’d have a lot of openings to fill. If the kid from Arizona is truly not a defender or scorer, I’d be patient. There will be more entering the portal and we certainly don’t need anyone who can’t at least play some defense. Outscoring teams can only take you so far without defense. IMO, Jones would be missed most. I like Hunter and would put him second. I believe all others others can be easily replaced.
