Steele answering the question resoundingly: he absolutely has lost this team. Annnnnd , he puts Hunter instead of Stanley. He is an absolute joke of a coach.

Edit: I stand corrected. Stanley is in. Unfortunately, Steele being a joke of a coach still holds true.

Hey, I will put a good spin on this. The last February swoon that we will ever need to witness for X with Travis Steele on the bench

You may recall, I almost always lead with the appellation of “Coach”. Sorry, no longer, the wheels are off this team. They no longer can even count on the Cintas advantage or defend home court.

For the first time in my life I’m hoping X loses out , this will force Christopher’s hand. Steele has to go and we need to start the rebuild, hopefully with Sean Miller.
Sorry MM I’ve seen enough.

As much as it would hurt, if X missing the tourney would compel a coaching change, it would be the first time I rooted against X to make it. Also, to you point, Cintas fans started leaving Cintas seemingly at the six minute mark.

All of the good about this program being destroyed by this buffoon of a coach. Back to mid major

My son, who is at the game today with his college buddies, and I texted the exact same thing with 4 minutes to go. Some pain now, for success later.

Kind of looks like Biden is coaching this team

This team is a puzzelment. They shoot plus 41% from three and 56.5% from the FT line.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

If Steele comes back, I think a lot of players will transfer out.

X has not lost 7 in a row cause the slid in a win vs UCONN. But 3-8 in their last 11. How can anyone consider this team for the tourney. They lost to DePaul once and squeeked by a point in the other one. They edged Butler by 2. They still face a loss on the road at St Johns potentially.
The old saying is ‘defense wins championships’. This team has none. And offense is very inconsistent and they cant make threes or FTs. The coach is in way over his head in this league. But some think he’s a great recruiter. Based on performances I’m not so sure. He doesn’t seem to recruit defenders. Or maybe they just don’t care to play for Travis.
