Re: Hire James Posey
I agree as well, but unfortunately that seems to be common knowledge around team.

Re: Hire James Posey
Even if coach wanted certain players when recruiting them, doesn't mean he can't change his mind after realizing they have a bad attitude, didn't develop as expected, etc. He can't fall back on wait until I get my players but he can certainly be anxious for certain guys to leave.
It is perfectly fine to be concerned about the lack of in game coaching by Steele and the assistants. Lack of adjustments is not a good sign. The assistants may contribute just fine in practice but something is off given that the team is regressing rather than improving.
No reason to panic but I'd certainly welcome an upgrade at an assistant spot or 2. Either way, Travis gets another couple years to figure things out.

You can tell the current staff brings nothing to the table in game. Dante Jackson had a basketball IQ close to zero when he was a player, the rest of the guys just sit there all game long. And as of yet, can't really grade there recruiting skills. Steele is on an island in game, get him some help.
complete and utter lunacy and part of the reason i take a break from this board at times, especially at times when the team is struggling.
good gracious.
there is not ONE PERSON on this board who could possibly have any insight into this at all. none of us sit on the bench. none of us go to practice. none of us sit in their offices and see what kind of scouting report they're putting together on the opponent.
c'mon, guys. give it a rest on stuff like this.
Looks like the all access debacle proved my point.

Re: Hire James Posey
you act like he would want to come to the college game.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

They probably should start with getting Willie Cunningham to work with them on ft's.

Re: Hire James Posey
this thread should just be deleted. we aren't hiring Posey. we aren't firing Steele. it's not happening. only coaching change that will happen in the next 4 years will be if Steele changes the staff. otherwise, he's here to stay. get on board. take the good with the bad with a coach just starting out. he will get better.
