Goodin with another 3. Make or miss them, at least both were in rhythm shots a couple feet behind the 3, and they weren't bank shots. Got to give him credit, but wouldn't want to count on it in crunch time. Need to do it about 5 games in a row before that happens.

Goodin is 8-15 from 3 in his last 4 games - not counting this one.
But his % is still under 33% so he has a ways to go before he has a decent % from 3.
And has 10 TO's to 11 assists in last 4 games.
Agree...would not want to count on his shot in crunch time.
Of course, that's assuming there is a crunch time.

That's great, but he has at least 4 banked treys this year. He is playing better and better though, so good for him. X needs a productive Q for the very slight chance they have to somehow win the BE tourney.

Hardin and Welage are 2-3 from 3 and Marshall is 0-3.
I will throw up if Marshall shots another 3.

He has a perpetual get out of jail free card. Steele doesn't hold him accountable at all.

I think the issue is he was deemed “the man” for this team and this team ended up being bad. And he’s not a great leader by any means so he’s not really someone you want to be the man when you’re losing. But it’s hard to bench him when you can only roll 7 deep on a weak roster.

Agree on the being deemed "the man" but at present this is the definition of insanity - Marshall trying to be "the man' game after game and expecting a different result from what we have seen so far this season.

If X was winning with him despite his flaws, I wouldn't disagree. They are a train wreck, and Marshall and to a lesser extent Q are the face of it. It hardly send a constructive message to the other players that some guys are held accountable, and some aren't. On cue, t.o. number 5 for him.

He has shot better from 3 in recent games but his assist to TO ratio has been awful. Still think Steele needs to hand the keys to this team to Scruggs and let him run the point.

The worst 3 point shooters on this team have taken the most threes again this half. At least Goodin has made a couple. Marshall, to no one's shock, has made none. I suspect Steele will get in his ear and say, "Keep chucking them up big fella." Need a veteran guy on the bench next year. I'll say it again: Pete Gillen. Having 4 recruiters as coaches is not a good recipe for success. Need at least one X and O guy.

My son told me there's word of dissension in the locker room against Steele. What do your sources say? I still believe in him, and knew making the tourney would be a struggle, but the improvement they showed at the beginning of BE play has all but disappeared.
