I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

it has been said GC talked to 7 people before the Steele hire.

he would not divulge who the other candidates were but i have a feeling these will come out from other sources.

His statement said that they had 11 applicants, including some D1 head coaches, and talked with 7 while in San Antonio for the F4. Making the announcement now gives Coach Steele the opportunity to interview some people for assistant coaching positions, while there. Possibly even do some recruiting visits. For sure he is burning up the phones to kids and coaches all over the country already.

You and the elves will track it down I am sure. My guess is $1 mil per year with a $500,000 buy-out.

Congrats to Travis Steele. My hope for his 1st year is that we go at least 10-8 in the Big East & make the dance. He needs Assistants quick & a few recruits. If Boudreaux signed with Purdue, maybe Steele can sign a big as good or better.

Congrats Xavier Nation on hiring coach Steele. Will be all in hopefully next time in the Dance unlike how Mack was thinking about the Louisville job. Great hire.
