No blessings in losing. The semi final loss to Providence in the BE caused Xavier to be the 4th number one seed and thus sent to the West Regional, instead of the Midwest. X would have played closer to home as a 2 or 3 number one seed in the Regionals. Also The Dance is a one loss and out....so there is no blessing in losing in the Dance . X has had a Great regular season(the best ever), X has had another so so BE tournament performance/never a semi final winner and never in the final game at a BE Tournament. This team will define itself again in the Dance....X has had 3 other teams be an Elite 8...none ever a FF. Less than an Elite 8 ...will be a ho hum performance for The Dance.

Given that Kansas won both their conference and conference tournament, would have been interesting to see where X landed if they had won their conference tournament.
Not sure a loss to Nova in the BET finals would have secured the Midwest given Kansas's performance.
It is what it is.
X needs to survive and advance for at least 4 more games and this will be the greatest season ever for X.
Wins beyond that are extra icing on the cake.
