Red Flags from Marquette Game

JP has become my all time favorite XU player & been a fan since Steve Thomas drained the nets in early 60s. Reminds me of Pete Rose with his hustle & take no crap from opponents. Struggle to compare him to other XU players. His out of nowhere block vs. Marquette was a momentum swinger & his "flop" to draw the technical unhinged Marquettes coach. I might compare him to the mischievous Cat in the Hat from Dr Seuss. Enjoy the last 20 plus games we get to see him.

Not sure if there are stats to back me up but it seems like scoring is up this year in college basketball?I would rather watch a 91-87 game than a 50-45 one. Even Depaul put up 85 against Nova.

XU ks, I watched Steve play also, this season is going too fast. Seems like April to Nov takes 5 yrs, and Nov to March in 10 seconds. I want to slow it down and enjoy it. Only 20 more games Bummer!

I saw Steve up-close for every game and practice. He only played 76 games due to shorter seasons and an injury. The Xavier has treated him with having his number retired reminds of what happened with the gold lifetime pass he got on STEVE THOMAS NIGHT. He could never use it. He went to a game at Schmidt the next year and it wasn't honored. After he married Karen, she went to the ticket office with it and was again told the same thing.
Oh well, let's be happy.
BTW, why not retire #10 for both Steve and Romain.

Gonna miss him when he has finished his eligibility.
In addition to that huge block, he came down on the next possession and knocked down a big 3.
The Pete comparison is good but early in his career at X, I thought he had some of Bird in him and also a little bit of Pistol as well.
He is definitely a guy you love if he is on your team but hate if he playing against you.

Tre might be the big scorer but JP is the engine of this team and when he is on this team is almost unstoppable
