36-16 on pts in the paint.
X's 3 headed monster at the 5 - Jones,Gaston and O'Mara - play a total of 40 minutes and scored 16 pts and 13 boards. Not too bad.

He is. He also is playing within the context of the offense. Blueitt isn't playing well offensively, and his shot selection and penchant to force "his agenda" offensively tells me he knows how many scouts are attending X games. Unfortunately, Sumner is obviously their main interest, with Blueitt an after thought.mumuskie87 wrote:JP is just f'in relentless on the court.
I love it!!!
He seems like a really good kid, and has a fighter's chance to sneak in the mid-2nd round of the draft, and I'd loving nothing more than for him to realize his dream. However, his abysmal shooting stats are a reflection of his shot selection, and are only hurting his chances. Hopefully he realizes that soon, for his and the team's sake.

Don't worry about Bluiett. He is leading rebounder, playing lock down d. He was MVP in Orlando. Shooting will improve.

Re: UNI Game thread 11/26/2016
After seeing TB play a few more games, I am beginning to believe he can play in the NBA. His shooting will have to improve for him to be drafted this year but he is very physical, playing very good defense and rebounding incredibly well. His shot has always been quick which makes up for his modest athleticism. It would help if he improves his ball handling but he should be able to make a team if his shooting improves. I don't see him as a first round pick unless he starts putting up efficient big numbers.
JP may see the NBA as well. I know I would want him on my team if I were a coach or player at that level. I'm not sure if either will go this year but hopefully not both. Ed will likely make the leap given his athletic ability and quickness. Q should be ready to step in for Ed next year so we will be in good shape in his absence.

Has to be among the best 6-6 rebounders in cbb.hoosiermuskie wrote:Don't worry about Bluiett. He is leading rebounder, playing lock down d. He was MVP in Orlando. Shooting will improve.
Avg's 6.3 rpg so far this year and avg 6,1 rpg last year.
He made 40% of 3's last year and 33% the year before,
I will defer to that wise old philosopher, Dusty Baker, who said the cream will always rise to the top.
My recollection he was referring to Scott Rolen in 2011 and 2012.
However, those 2 years he batted about .240 and never did "rise" to his career average of .280.
I feel confident that Tre's 3 pct will get better as the season progresses.

His percentages will improve. He is forcing shots which he didn't do his first two years. Chris will correct that as will Myles return.

Trevon is a good college player, but that does not translate into success in the NBA. He would be a small SG at 6-5 6-6. His ball handling is average at best. He's not a big leaper or overly athletic. I just don't see him in the NBA. I think he would be wise to head to Europe, play 10 years and call it a career.madness31 wrote:After seeing TB play a few more games, I am beginning to believe he can play in the NBA.
