Team play wins games and X seems to consist of 2 one on one players and three role players. As I said when X was 8-0 and I said when they were 8-4-this team isn't a top ten team but I thought they were top 25. Don't see it but they are what they are. UD is a top 25 team-at least today. Hope X takes care of biz at home but will be close vs SLU and UD.
I still think they have top 20 talent on the court. UD does not-they just play and execute like they do.

That's 26 teams off the top of my head I would say are more talented than Xavier. We get about 1 4-star recruit a year and few 3-stars. We have never had a top 15 recruiting class. We don't produce lottery picks (West maybe?).

My point is Xavier's success is BECAUSE of coaching and leadership.

12 for 24 on the road from the free throw line, and out rebounded by double digits is not how you win on the road.

They don't, but they do care about winning 10 of 11, and beating Gtown and Uconn at home.

time for you to tak a breath....of clean air not the stuff you smoke. If you lay the blame on Mark because you can't take his game than take you "game" to the other board.
Who is blaming Mark? That is precisely the reason I said pull him out. He has a slight propensity for trash talking, and I did not want to see it escalate, b/c this team cannot beat even bottom feeders w/o him. I wanted him to follow Archie's lead when he pulled out Dillard.

CM didn't, but thank goodness hoccurred. In fact, I commended the whole team for their gracious behavior after the shallacking. Again, as usual, objective and fair in my assessment.

Funny how everyone is talking about FF talent b/4 the year started. Unfortunately, as stated previously, execution and game planning trumps talent.

Also, I don't think we play the same schedule that NC, Duke, Kansas, and the rest of the aformentioned plays either. BTW, we are more talented that UC, Cal, Purdue, Ill, Mich, WVU, and Louisville. The Texas A & M insertion is completely puzzling. Have you seen them play this yr?

A&M is having a terrible year, given the talent they have. Pre-season top 25 team. UC, Cal, Purdue, Ill, Mich, WVU are close. I would give sight edge talent wise to those teams. There are other teams I think we barely beat talent wise that I did not list (Temple, FSU, Hall, SJU-young tho, etc.). Either way I think saying we are in the 20-35 range for talent is fair. Anywhere outside that range is tough to argue.

Still could make the final four or miss even miss the tourney. Tournament can be a crapshoot. Did you know its a single elimination tournament? Last year VCU and Butler made the final four.
