Re: I WANT A THIRD SEED RATHER THAN A 2ND
Two seeds always seem to get upset in the early rounds...I'll take a three

Re: I WANT A THIRD SEED RATHER THAN A 2ND
I have been hoping for a 3, 4, or 5 seed in the west. This would put us playing on good friday and easter sunday in Tampa, where i will be enjoying the last days of my spring break just 40 minutes away. As amazing as it would be to be playing in florida during spring break, I just hope we get good match-ups, that is the most important thing in a championship run! and yes i said championship, I don't want just the final four, i want the whole thing!

Last year, 3 #2 seeds competed in the elite 8 and 1 #3.
Two seed is significant.

Sorry dude, your argument self explodes.
You say: "Bottom line, I’d rather play a
second seed for the ticket to the Final Four than a #1."
Take a closer look at the bracket: A 3 seed would play a 2 seed in the Sweet 16 for a "ticket" to the Elite 8. Whether X is a 2 or a 3 seed, they would have to play a 1 seed (assuming that team reaches the Elite 8) for a ticket to the Final Four.
Under your argument, I think you mean to say that X is better off as a 4 seed. In that case, we'd play the 1 seed in the Sweet 16 then potentially play the 2 seed "for the ticket to the final four."
So do we want a 4 seed? No - we want a 2 seed. Period. GO X!

How about getting a 16 seed, beating a #1 in Round 1, and then taking that seed's favorable place in the brackets from that point on?
I know, we won't ever get a 16 seed. Those seeds are reserved for teams representing the bottom 4-5 conferences in league RPI ratings.

And we are not totally out of the running for a #1 seed yet. Our RPI is currently #6 and we have the second-best record against the top 50 (only Tennessee's is better). The main thing we have going against us is our affiliation with the A-10. #1's almost always come from the Big Six.

Then again why worry yourselves sick about the seed. Personally, I will just continue to take it one game at a time and hope the team does too. I have always found things work out better that way.
It's just what somebody thinks ...
