Did Dayton really steal Steven Thomas from IUPUI, High Point and Evansville?

the first time i came over here, it was (like many messageboards i have visited in the past)to get perspective from a local team, rival, etc. i have been to wsu's board, miami, uk, iu, louisville, uc, etc many times. i quickly realized
that this board has an obsession with ud. there are constant threads about ud on here, no matter what time of the year. in fact there are some on here who agree with me. ud is irrelevant to x as so many of you say, yet there are constant threads about the flyers on here. i find it fascinating.

we'll see about tomorrow. x should win by all accounts; they are CLEARLY the better team. however i have a funny feeling
you guys are going to be pretty unhappy come 4 o'clock or so.
OK Baloney so I understand it-this board is obsessed with UD yet you post all the time. I don't disagree that this board has many who discuss UD too much. If you are the reasonalbe college basketball fan you say, I think you would agree that any X fan that would care about UD is nuts. In the last 7 years X is 15-3 vs Dayton (8-3 at UD arena). UD hasn't won a tourney game in 19 years (even though they paid a player during that time). So X fans, take note of the message by Baloney. We fans are too obsessed with a team that that has had NO recent NCAA tourney success, 1 A-10 tourney championship, and have dominated X in 3 of the last 18 games. And to you Baloney, if you are not obsessed with X, why do you care. You have to be the only one defending a team with the resume that I just mentioned. So, while you continue to bash our fans on our board, maybe you can look at your board. I heard you have a great recruiting class coming in. Good luck today and thank God that you played Louisville and Pitt when they each had 2 starters out.

thomas will be okay.i think he will end up being an okay player for us. didn't x swipe justin doelman away from unk? he turned out to be a pretty good player for you guys. kind of unfair to badmouth thomas before his freshman year is over. neither jackson(or graves for that matter) has shown much for you guys, but he's got three more years to prove himself, like thomas.
gee, i didn't realize ud paid a player in the last 19 years. seems like that would have been a major scandal, with major violations.

oh, you must mean the thing where mathile LOANED(not gave) brooks hall's father some money well after hall had already committed to ud. yeah, that was improper but given mathile's history of doing that to many non-ud related people,
the ncaa obviously didn't think it was a real big deal.

just the facts, ma'am.

The difference between UD and XU recruits is that the XU recruits usually are good and the UD recruits usually are mediocre. That explains why you guys have gone 3-7 in your last ten games and Xavier is looking at a possible 2 seed. It's tough to win without talent.

But is it true that UD stole London Warren from Jacksonville (the college not the NFL team)?

i agree, it is hard to win without talent. however, for all of gregory's faults he does seem to be starting to bring in better talent. i think next year's class is going to be pretty darn good. hopefully this will continue.

I recall you saying the same thing about the last 5 mediocre classes.
